Ordinary Croquet Balls ...Meet Farmhouse Romance ....

It's been a Wet Rainy week here in Southern California ..which is highly unusual for this time of year. Usually we are still in the triple digits and sporting wildfires in the hills and mountains.

However Mother Nature decided to make life interesting this year and send us some very early rainfall and cool temperatures ...

With this change in weather it's forced me to the indoors ..I don't have a workshop for all those larger projects ..just a back yard which at this moment is sopping wet ...

In fact ..our forecast was no rain today and partly cloudy skies ...so I was headed out to actually completely clean off the back patio and re-arrange all the pieces awaiting a little farmhouse touch ..Luckily I waited till Noon to decide to do that ..because just as I finished up lunch the rain began and hasn't quit yet ...better tell the forecasters their No rain forecast just didn't pan out ...LOL !!
So my indoor project was actually started a few days back ...and it was to take some ordinary croquet balls and give them a farmhouse romance makeover...

above is what they started out as ..and I admit the bright colors of the croquet balls are beautiful ..that is if those colors fit your home ..however they don't ours and they don't fit our style of shop either ...so they had to get a little makeover ....

Here they are and I am so loving how they turned out ...A simple coat of white paint ....

Some vintage lace trims wrap them up with perfection....

Some vintage Lace trim bows ... and each one embellished with vintage sign board #'s.... All Beautifully piled in an old wood bowl filled with raffia ...

This set of 6 will be heading off to the shop ...that is when this rain lets up ...we are hoping for Saturday ...and if you live far off and would like to purchase them ..just send me an e-mail and let me know that your interested ...
