Our New Shop Space .. Now Open in Ozark, MO at Camp Flea Antique Mall

Hey Y'all .. well once again it's been a long time between posts. Well this mother/daughter duo have been super busy galavanting all over the countryside and we opened a shop space at a local antique mall. 

Well this was never in our plans completely we tossed the idea to and fro .. had a few malls we really liked and talked about "If we ever get a space again" ..but never really went for it. I wanted a big space .. Abbey was into a small space .. and most places had some small spaces available but I just couldn't get into a small space .. well a large space in one of the local antique malls came available .. and it had electricity which is always a biggie to me .. I like lights and well lit spaces .. anyhow that kinda sold me on it and here we are a month later moving in, setting up and putting our toes in the water in our New Home Sweet Home of MO to see if the locals and the passerby's like what we offer as well as all our wonderful clients did on the west coast. By the way we miss you all .. just not CA.. LOL !

So we've been working hard setting up our shop .. and I thought you all might enjoy seeing what we've done. And for those locals that happen on our blog .. well come down and see us at Camp Flea Antique Mall and Vintage Marketplace in Ozark, MO.

Today we went back in and added an old wood header over the door .. and hung our shop sign. Abbey designed our shop sign from an old apple basket lid and some vintage aluminum lettering ..and I truly love it ..

 And we added our business cards to the shop .. although I didn't get a photo of them .. this is them .. my front and back designs. 

I kept my old farmhouse I love .. but went to a simpler two tone design in charcoal and white .. and designed our business name with a great whimsical font.

Well if you live in or near the Springfield/Ozark Area .. or are traveling to the Branson area ..on 65 hwy .. well be sure and stop in and see us at Camp Flea Antique Mall and Vintage Marketplace.

Vintage Laundry Cart Charm .. Back to work designing One Of a Kind pieces

My goodness I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted. Life sure gets busy ...

Well we had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year and we're ready for Spring ..how about you?

The Trees and shrubs are already filled with buds and some of the dogwoods are in full bloom as we drive down the roads. The Daffodils are blooming I drove by 2 farms this week that had them popping up along the road side.. and then this morning it decided to snow.  Only for a while and not much stuck .. the ground and buildings are just to warm after the 60 and 70 degree weather we've been having the last week. But it's been a beautiful last hurrah for winter to say goodbye and usher Spring in. 

Abbey and I have been back to work .. sewing and designing fun new goods. We have a new vintage apron line we have created and we'll be starting to share those in the weeks to come. We also worked on a cute vintage Laundry Cart the last few weeks.. the liner for it had seen better days and was just screaming for some cuteness .. so we had fun designing and creating the new liner from vintage linens, lace trims and charming fabrics. 

We did a sneak peek of it on our FB page and had a few ladies who were interested in it just from seeing it in it's early stages of being pieced together ..so once we finished it, of course it needed some equally as cute photos. So yesterday Abbey and I headed out to find a cool place to photograph it .. and landed in a small town a few miles from here where there is an old Mill on the side of a river that is no longer open or working but it's still absolutely beautiful. The mill made a fun backdrop and we had the best time photographing the cart.. Here's a few photos from our shoot yesterday for you all to enjoy !

Well Thanksgiving is just around the corner ..I'm looking forward to some Turkey, Stuffing and Sweet Potatoes  ... How about you all ?

 

I'm also looking forward to Christmas ... the Carols being sung.. the fireplace crackling... a cup of Hot Cocoa .. and decorating ..

 

This week we've added a little More Christmas Cheer to the Shop ... So Yes I had my cup of Cocoa ... and sang a few carols in my head .. and imagined the fireplace crackling ... instead I think I heard the ting ting ting of the toaster cooling down but I imagined it the crackle of the fireplace .. LOL ! 

 

Well gals I just wanted to share that we have been adding more Goods to the shop...

Pre-Show picts ...and Never make definite plans

Well Girls ....if you haven't made plans yet ...you better get in gear and start making them now ...last minute plans are always the most fun ..and your going to love the Chateau De fleurs Marketplace ..beginning Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. ...

Abbey and I made plans to get everything set up yesterday and well never make definite plans ..because you never know when they are going to have to change ..

Tuesday Night we loaded up our trailer planning to spend all wednesday setting up for the markeplace so we could make today (thursday) a nice restful and leisurely day spent on the couch with our feet up ...LOL !!! Well some other Plans were made for us by his truly ..and what a blessing ....!!! Tuesday night while I was backing in the trailer to our driveway and jack knifing it in order to get the 16 feet of length to fit in about 12 feet ...well we heard a loud snap ...and the steering wheel wouldn't move ... Luckily Papa Fred knows his truck stuff and knew immediately that some rod in the power steering pump broke and well the whole pump would need replacing. ....SO ... Wednesday morning he drove yes drove that hard to steer truck to our mechanic who had us all fixed up and back to normal by noon ..However he informed us that we were surely blessed to have had the break down in the driveway and not on the road pulling the trailer ..that the rod was already partially sheared before it broke and it could have caused us a severe accident. Well we fell ever so blessed to have been watched over and grateful that our definite plans were changed so rapidly.

Well yesterday afternoon and today we spent setting up our shop ...and we're so excited with the out come ...

Upon driving up to the Chateau De Fleurs ...Christie and Rita our hosts ...did a splendid roadside display just outside the gates that is ever so welcoming and just perfection for our fall season we're headed into.

Then Lori Martin of Two Wild Roses has dressed Christie's garden to perfection ..such great ideas ...Ones you can incorporate into your own garden ...Stop in and say Hi to Lori and her daughter Jamie tomorrow ..two sweet Gals !!!
Isn't the clothesline just wonderful ..I always love a good clothesline ....

It couldn't have been better to have a clothesline and a clothespin bag to accesorise it ...I made 3 of these clothespin bags made from vintage lace, linens and fabric ..and filled with clothespins ..perfect to use or to display ...
