God has a thousand ways !

TRUTH ! In the last 6 months I can attest to this being so true . I had been praying about a situation since fall of last year and asking the Lord to give me wisdom and show me the direction he knew was best .. that answer didn't come until March of this year and he sent it through a sequence of unforeseen events and through someone I had never met. There was no denying the answer it was so amazing in how it came wrapped to me in a beautiful package only he could have wrapped. Don't give up sometimes the wait is long but keep praying and keep waiting he will reveal his answer in his perfect time ...
Isaiah 43:18-19, "Forget what happened long ago! Don’t think about the past. I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands." (CEV)
Isaiah 45:3, "I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." (NIV)
Have a Beautiful and Blessed Sunday ..

Making Summer Memories

Well I hope your Summer is off to a wonderful start.  It's another hot day here .. the heat has officially arrived.

Well they say summer is about making memories and we made our own funny memory last night .. Abbey had been wanting to get out and see some fireflies .. well I went to take Flossie out and there were a bunch around a pine tree so I told her to come out and look this sparked the idea we would go out on a night drive in the country to see the fields and trees alight .. so we headed out and drove for near an hour down back roads. I think we saw about 10 of them total LOL..Yep qute the memory ! So I've come to the conclusion today that our pine tree is firefly central because there were about 30 of them buzzing it before we left ...it seriously looked like a lit up Christmas tree with all those white flickering lights .. and several fireflies were still there when we got back .. I think we failed to get the memo that that pine tree was having a summer firefly party last night.  Here's to Summer Memory Making !

All new Vintage Goodness at "The Vintage Peddler"

Well keeping shop is always a lot of work .. from finding antique and vintage goods that you love and hope other will love.. to cleaning, tagging, bookkeeping, hauling, and decorating and I'm sure I left a few other things out .. it's not all fun and games.

Over my 20 + yrs of selling vintage and hand made's I can't tell you how many times I have run into gals that say they are going to get shop space because it looks like so much fun .. Well it is fun but there's a whole lot more to it than fun. It's a never ending daily job that's a lot of work and if you sell online too like I do .. my hours are all day every day .. the door doesn't close at 5 .. cause all Y'all .. get home from work or the gym or pickin' up the kids and then need to ask questions or want quick shipping and there I am at 9 at night wrapping up some goodies to get them out quick so I can make all Y'all Happy ! .. And that's my pleasure.. no complaints here .. I love what I do .. and wouldn't want to do anything else .. but just sharing that it's a full time job and it's not always fun .. most the time but it has it's moments when you just look and thing what am I doing ?

Well I am having so much fun and I've got lots of work to go with that fun ... with my new shop space at The Vintage Peddler.

In years past I've always had big spaces like 12 x 14  etc .. that's a lot of space to fill and keep filled.
This new shop space is 4 ft deep x 12 ft long .. I wondered how I wold like having a shallow long space since I've never worked with those dimensions before .. well I'm loving it .. and Now that I said that about the dimensions it's come to mind that Abbey and I used to do Glitterfest long ago and we set up on 8 foot tables and then went up so this is sorta similar and I loved the challenge Glitterfest was so that's probably why I'm loving this space ..

Anyhow I'm just jibber jabbering on about a whole lot of nothing .. I wanted to share with y'all that this last weekend my shop space got it's first revamp since opening it. I was so blessed to sell my big cupboard and with that sold It opened the door for me to add a few more cupboards and lots of new vintagey goodness ..

So here it is Enjoy ..

If you would like to visit our shop space .. it is located in "The Vintage Peddler" antique Mall in Springfield, MO 1432 E. Trafficway.

A few new Sweet Magnolias Farm Original Patriotic Flag Buntings ...

Well the last 10 days have been busy ones for me how about You all ?

Lots and lots of work days for me lately.

I'm hoping to get a day away for a little road trip next week but we'll see how that actually pans out.

I just wanted to let you all know that I listed 3 of my Sweet Magnolias Farm Original Flag Buntings in my Etsy Shop this evening.

These will be my last 3 for the season until next year. ...

If you're not familiar with my One of a Kind Buntings .. I hand make each one from vintage, antique, upcycled and found remnants of fabrics, laces, trims and even clothing items.

Thus each one is a One of a Kind.

They are nice size approx 58 inches wide x 34 inches long.

They look amazing hung and my pictures certainly don't do them justice.

Perfect for your special 4th of July Celebrations !

You can find them in my Etsy Shop HERE

And Here's a peek at the 3 I have available .. Enjoy Y'all !!!

Until Next Time ...

Life is about Moments ....

Good Monday morning to you all .. I'm praying for a beautiful week with lots of joy in it .. cause who doesn't like a life filled with some joyful moments... Sometimes you have to create your own joyful moments and recently I have done that. Some of you know and others may not that my parents and I share our home together. I was the young gal .. now middle aged ( did I just really say middle aged ? ) that stayed single, no children ( just fur babies) and ended up finding that my parents and I were and still are the best of friends. Anyhow recently I found a great blog through another FB page that shared about it ... some of you may know it "Sean of the South". He writes short columns/ snippets about his life, his family and those he meets along life's highways and biways .. he captures the true heart of man, the reality of life and touches on how we just need to be "KIND" ... and I have to say I love his blog and style of writing. I shared it with my mom and of course she loved it too .. so each night I read 1 page from his blog which amounts to about 10 stories .. out loud to her ..It takes me a little over 1/2 an hour or so .. it works out for both of us because I love to read be it silently to myself or out loud and as she's grown older she has a hard time reading for any long period of time .. she in fact listens to a lot of books online. I was reading aloud the other night and it dawned on me we were creating a moment, a joyful one, one neither of us will forget. That moment sorta found us but was created by a choice I made to do something I knew she would love. So when you think your to busy or to tired or to anything and you have a chance to create a moment be it with a loved one or even a total stranger .. don't pass it up. Life is very short .. it goes by so quick .. don't miss the special moments ..

And if you get a moment be sure and visit Sean of the South Blog or FB page .. His stories will change your heart...

Have a great week Y'all ..
Until Next Time

Sunday Blessings at Sweet Magnolias Farm

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend so far .. I've had a lot going on the last 5 days and today I'm taking a little rest. I was reading one of my devotionals this week and One profound sentence/question really touched my heart. With all the big decisions I've been making lately about my work and my future this was very touching to my heart ..

" What if your purpose was found by the way you live out your faith and grow according to God’s Word and in your knowledge of Jesus? ....

I can tell you the more I have engaged in prayer, read the word of God and searched for him in all I do .. I have realized that my purpose is strictly about my Faith and everything else is simply an extension of it.  My Core is the finely tuned child of Christ that he knit in my mothers womb and that core/soul must be nourished daily with the word of God just as my body needs to be nourished with good food to stay strong and healthy .. so does my soul ...

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these. things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
