Well we've been busy bees ....seems there is something that always needs creating ..Making or Cleaning and there's just never enough time to get it all done ...

But we managed to add a new offering to our Farm Goods Line of Flour Sack Towels and Napkins ...

We've also been busy filling up the shop with new Vintage Goods ....

These Old Rustic Green Paint Metal Drawers are just so scrumptious !

This Rare Find is from the Early 1900's it is a Silver tone Perfume Casket with the original Chypre de Coty Perfume bottle still inside and still with lable ... It's a rare little find !



Or how about one of our Sweet Magnolias Farm Original Handpainted Upcycled Signs with vintage Wire Coat hangers .. So So Farm Fresh !

And Well these just are so so Charming ... Little Toddlers size shoes .. Fresh off the Farm ...

And If you're too young to remember these ..will your mama and and granny aint nor your daddy or your granpa ... There were some pretty wonderful day's of youth spent on these oldies but goodies ..and well probably several bruised knees ..and scraped elbows too !

The Flossie Chronicles ~ Tales of an English Springer Spaniel

Well I don't know about you all ..but it's just down right "HOT" in our neck of the woods ...

Today was 105 degrees and boy are we ever feeling it.

I'm not much for the heat ..there are some who worship the sun and love the hot weather and I assure you I am not one of them.

The heat always leaves me feeling a bit irritable ..

AND

What better way to help me out of that irritable feeling than sweet ol Flossie Dog !

Yes she's growing like a weed .. she's 7 mos old now and I can't tell you in enough words how delightfully wonderful she is !

She's adopted my throw blanket as her own .. I admit I have given in and I share with her ..it seems to bring her comfort and she sleeps all the better when she's on it ..and a mama's heart can't deny that.

Each Morning Papa Fred takes her for a long hours walk ..and she comes back .."No not tired" ... but even more energetic ..a good 1/2 hour after she comes back she runs like a crazy banche from one end of the yard to the other ..usually carrying one of 2 squeak toys "moosie" or "cupcake" ... Squeaking them as fast as she can while she runs .. Moosie actually sounds like the emergency sirens in europe .. so it sounds like we have the european police right in our backyard !

Of course all that energy must come to an end ..and she heads in the house looking for a good spot to nap ..and away she goes to slumber land for a good few hours ...

This last week I was able to grab a few quick pictures of her while she was napping for those of you who e-mail me and ask about her .. I love to see her sleep ..I guess it's like a momma with their new baby and how they love to see their sweet faces sound asleep...

So today has been one of those Hot irritable days ..and I'm so thankful for Flossie and her happy smiling face and heart ..She's always such a Joy and can surely lift my spirits and she can truly turn my frowns upside down !

Here's to cooler days ahead may they roll in like the wind and stay forever ...!

Farmhouse Romance ~ Layers of Texture in Shades of Whites

Here at the Farmhouse ..Abbey and I Love a little Rustic Farmhouse Romance ...

There's a wonderful feeling that Layeres of Textured Shades of Whites evokes in us ...

A sense of Warmth ~ Home ~ Comfort ~ are words that describe Rustic Farmhouse Romance to perfection.

We love designing pieces that emit a Rustic yet Romantic appeal  items that fit the farmhouse style ...and in thinking ahead for the seasons which isn't always easy to do .. when it's well near 100 degrees out ..it's that time for us when we begin designing for the fall .. and it's that time when we think about Rustic Farmhouse Romance ..

For White Wednesday we wanted to share one of our Rustic Farmhouse Romance Aprons...which we have made from layers ov vintage chenille, burlap, lace, and cottons...

 Personally we love Bib style aprons and we also love the old tool style / Hardware aprons with the pockets in thr front for storing needful things..

So we designed this Bib Front Hardware style apron .. with our Rustic Farmhouse Romance twist.

I have to admit this is one of my favorite aprons we have made to date .. I love the light whispy rosette collar top .. and I love the whimsical rustic gypsy appeal of the layers of burlap and lace trims and scraps ..that embellish the double pocket bottom ..

It was a hunt through the button drawers to find just the right ones to embellish the pocket fronts ..and it took time to sew each one on by hand so it truly is and has that handmade appeal.

We love designing Custom One of a kind Aprons .. so that each client that purchases them has one uniquely made and all their own .. not a mass manufactured piece...but a work of art and a work of the heart.

This apron has a wonderful black hook sewn to the side of one pocket with an old rustic skeleton key tied onto it .. a charming addition !

Our aprons are not just meant to be worn for Kitchen duty .. but instead ..a way to dress up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt .. So Sweet over a white cotton dress .. Worn Gardening ~ Grocery Shopping ~ To a Farm Style Wedding or Party ~

And They are made to fit women who are slim to women who are full figured. They tie around the neck and at the waist and are made with additional length to the ties to be worn tied in the front or in the back whichever a farm gal prefers ..
