Frosted Molasses Cookies

~ Sweet Magnolias Farm Family Recipe ~
I thought I would share a wonderful Family recipe with you for Frosted Molasses Cookies Today. With Thanksgiving and Christmas on the way ..it's the time many of us start baking those once a year treats. Frosted Molasses Cookies are a favorite around here ..and well we just never bake enough. It's amazing the people that crinkle up their nose and think that they won't taste good ..so we always tell them just give it one taste and toss it away ...if you don't like it. Needless to say that cookie is gone and they are on to another before you can count 3 ...LOL !!
I wish I had a picture of these baked up ..but since I haven't started my baking yet and can't seem to find any pictures from last year of them ..(they probably were eaten before I had a chance to get a picure) you'll just have to make them for yourselves and try them.
Yes we do ice them with orange frosting ..and before you knock it try it ...The orange frosting is delicious on them !!!
Well enjoy our Family Recipe .....and if you bake some let us know what you think !!!

  1. Thanks for the recipe....it reminds me of a funny family story..my dad for years would rave about his mom's molasses cookies....my mother tried her best but nothing was as good as her mother-in-laws so one time when Grandma was visiting, my mom asked her about her recipe...what was her secret? Grandma thought for a moment, and said "oh, those cookies? I bought them at the market"
