I just wanted to share some new items that we now have available in the shop....

We just added Many new Authentic Milk Bottle Cap Magnets. These are the Wax Caps from the 30's - 40's .. so they are an actual cap .. not a flat little round of cardboard more commonly seen ...

 

These have strong heavy weight magnets on the backs perfect for the Icebox .. or your favorite metal memo board, chicken Feeder, corrugated metal etc .. Just add your artwork, notes, letters, etc .. and you've got a whole lot of Farmhouse Charm .. over 20 different caps to choose from and more to come.

Each made of Vintage Linens, Lace, Lace Trims, Doilies, and MOP buttons ..

 

These Runners are a true work of our hearts and hands as these took many hours and much thought went into placing each piece just so ..   These are simply lovely and would look charming be they displayed on a Kitchen Table,  Coffee Table, Vintage Trunk .. Or simply Laid across the foot of the bed or resting upon the pillows ...

 

 

 

Our "Fly Away Home" Runner In it's luscious Whites and Creams is embellished with a  Lovely crochet lace butterfly, Charming Sheer Ruffled Flowers and Vintage Doilies, MOP buttons and Rhinestones, with a Double Ruffle at each end of natural muslin and vintage Lace.

This Runner .. in it's Lovely Whites and Creams .. is our "Faith Runner" .. This Runner has the words : Love Hope Faith and Joy .. Appliqued in lace throughout the runner .. Along with a Sweet Cross made from antique lace trim and dotted throughout are MOP Buttons. This one also has a double ruffle at each end of natural Muslin and Vintage Lace.

What a joy it is to have worked on this sweet Custom Order for a sweet Client of ours.

 

I must admit .. I love working on custom orders.

 

It's a nice change to make something a little different and something with a personal sentiment.

 

This week I worked on a custom Burlap Runner .. for an upcoming Baby Shower.

 

A way to sweetly welcome a  Baby on the way !

 

 

 

Usually I display our runners on a cute little shabby white table I have ... but this week the clothesline was already in place and I thought it would be fun to show it hung.

 

 

We have another gal that buys customized runners in customized sizes and she uses them for window Valances... What a Great Idea ! It's funny because the runners get purchased for a number of uses .. from banners to Pillow Covers on the bed, blanket chest runners, and more.

 

So I Hung this one up ..and it looks great .. ! I can just imagine this one hung in Babies room above a window or above the crib ! Now wouldn't that be ever so adorable....

 

I love that they chose the white with yellow gingham ruffles  .. Yellow is a favorite color of mine. I always say "It's a Happy Color" .. and it makes me feel happy and refreshed when I'm in a room of yellow.

 

In fact Abbey and I have been working in our Kitchen .. 2 weekends back we took all the décor out ..and started over ..we put many things back but just in a new way .. we have an old pair of hanging scales which were over a counter and now are hung in the window that looks out over the backyard ..and our kitchen is now headed for a dressing of yellow gingham. Hopefully this weekend we will get a little time carved out to make some yellow gingham curtains for the window .. such a refreshing, clean and happy feeling they will emanate. I can't wait !

This week ... I'm featuring one of our Sweet Magnolias Farm Original Burlap Runners.

This Charming Runner is a new design that I had wanted to make for a long time and just didn't have the extra time to do it ..until one of our Clients requested it and that was a great way to allow me to make the time to design it and create it.

It has the beautiful lines from the Old Hymn ..I sing because I'm Happy ~ I Sing Because I'm Free ~ For his eye is on the Sparrow ~ And I know he watches Me

Our Runners are made of a tight weave hard washed burlap. The burlap has a nice aged look to it perfect for our Farmhouse Style we offer.

 

 

 

Our runners have tattered burlap edges...

And

You can choose from 3 styles of side trims and ruffles ..the first of which is our aged ribbon which goes well with our Vintage Lace and Natural Cotton ruffles on the ends ...

OR ...

We offer our runners with all white triple or all natural triple ruffles. Which come with White cotton or Natural Cotton trimmed edges ...

 

The Runners that we offer in the shop come in one standard size .. However we do offer custom order runners too ..where you can choose the size and even customize the graphics to your liking. We have a lot of gals that have special sentiments or want their family name on their runner.. and we even have those that just want the center simply plain ..which we love too ..Just e-mail us or convo. us through our Etsy shop for Custom Design Work and we would love to work with you.

It's been a whirlwind of a last 2 weeks ..between lots of work ..and a few field trips for Abbey and I to some far off destinations .... We came home last week to an exciting treat in our mailbox ...

The New Volume 7 Somerset Home Magazine ...

And we are so Honored to have been chosen to be part of it.

We had been counting down the weeks and days ..thrilled to see the Beautiful Pictures and Layout that Somerset Home had taken of our Sweet Magnolias Farm Original "Burlap Runners and Placemats." in print in our very own hands... 

There's nothing like seeing the work of your hands layed out in beautiful images by professional photographers. By No means could I ever picture our runners or placemats as beautifully as they have captured them with the lens of their camera and with the layout of the designer.

So Being published helps us share not only our Love but it helps us share with others that they can have a piece of what we do because it's our business too ..

And Yes no matter rather you are a stay at home Mommy .. Grandma to 1 or 20 ... A young Single gal .... Or even you Men .. Rather your design for the Love of it or for Business ..you too can submit to have your works of the heart published too by just turning to page 142 in the Somerset Home Mag... and as Rita Say's it gives you detailed instructions "So get your stuff together and try it " ... LOL !!!

A little Bit Farmhouse .. A little Bit Pink ..

Each year here at the farmhouse just as spring is on it's way ..it never fails ..

A little pink starts making it's way in ....

Although I am not totally a pink girl at heart .. I do love a little touch of pink rather it be in our home decor ... my clothing ..and it starts coming out in our creativity too..

The last few days Abbey and I have been working trying our best to get ready for our 2 next back to back shows .."The Vintage Marketplace at the Oaks" and "Glitterfest" ..both 1 week apart.

Our Rose Pens are adored by many ...and we have added a new color for 2012 Soft Vintage Pink ..a slight departure from our Aged Rose Pens ..which still can be purchased as well.. at our shows or in our Etsy shop...

These are positively Beautiful .. for a sweet Valentines Gift ..a Spring Baby or Wedding Shower Gift ..Mothers Day ...Or even Paired with a Beautiful Journal.
